Damn this heat to hell…

God the temperature skyrocketed. Summer is creeping closer, that’s for sure. Which also means that the Summer Solstice (also known as Litha for Pagans and Wiccans) is only a little more than a week away. Niax and I plan on celebrating next Wednesday.

Anyways, I have good news: I called the Full Sail University Admissions Office yesterday! I have another call scheduled for tomorrow at 3:30. The admissions officer told me about the Creative Writing program and what the online courses will entail…and I’m loving it. I am more than excited to do this.

…my only hesitation is that I already have a hefty student loan out, but I’m tired of letting that paralyze me with fear. I want to continue my education, better myself, and my craft. *exhales* Let’s do this.

In KoB news, editing for Episode #3 is going good. I’m taking my time with this one mainly because I’ve been changing a lot of dialogue between Rachael and her mom. See, this is why I need formal training for my writing. I’m always unsure about what I’m doing is good or not. This is why you just keep writing.

Oh, one last thing before I go. During the last week of the month, Niax and I are heading down to Tennessee for a family reunion. That means you guys won’t hear too much from me that week. I’ll try to keep you guys updated via my Twitter about what’s going on.

Today? Not too eventful. In the next couple of days, however…

*yawns* Well, my house looks a little cleaner.

My internet’s still out, but I forgot I could use my phone as a hotspot. Once my phone’s charged a little more (it’s sitting at around 26%), I’ll call my provider back and see what the dealio is.

Anyways, work on KoB has been steady. I’ve hit kind of a wall with Episode #3. It doesn’t help that I’ve been writing out the series finale (Episode #30) as well. I already did it once before, but that was a few years ago, and I never truly liked how things played out. This time, I had a better idea for what would happen during the final battle and the aftermath.

I had plans this past Monday to see Wonder Woman, but because money was tight, we decided to see it this upcoming Monday instead. However, I have made plans for myself to see Captain Underpants this Friday. Say what you want, but I was a HUGE fan of the books growing up. It’s been years since I’ve read them. I had the first four books, as well as the two activity books they threw out (which I enjoyed as well). Believe it or not, the series inspired me to draw and write my own stories. My mom refused to buy me any more of the books as they came out, but someday, I’ll have the complete series. When I first heard rumors about the movie, I’ll admit, I was skeptical. I wondered, “Who decided to make a movie dedicated to Captain Underpants, of all things?” I thought it was a joke, at first. Then the trailer dropped. I immediately knew I had to see it. The animation and art style not only look gorgeous, but they are very faithful to the book’s illustrations as well. Ah! I’M SO EXCITED!!!

*composes self* Ahem. Anyways, I will be sure to post a review of it when I get back home. Since I’m going by myself (and since Niax works on Fridays anyways, and he doesn’t want to see it), I’ll probably be going sometime in the early afternoon. I’ll iron out the details when I order tickets tomorrow. So no post tomorrow, most likely, but I will definitely write one up on Friday.

Not dead, just unpacking

Okay, okay, I know it’s been a few days. We just got the internet hooked up to our house on Friday, and ever since then, I’ve been busy with work, organizing stuff, and unpacking that I simply haven’t had the time/energy to post. I just wanted to let you guys know that I’m okay, and hopefully I can at least get my “office space” set up soon…but there’s a bunch of other things that need to be done in the meantime.

I’ve also, admittedly, been a little busy with a couple of other things I was able to do without the internet. Episode #8 is through with the editing stage, and I’ve been questioning what to do next (I’m a little overwhelmed by this point: so much so, that it’s making my head spin!). I’ve also been preparing my entry for a contest I mentioned the other day, and it’s almost ready. I’ll send it off when I get home today.

In relation to my 1000 prompt challenge for the year, I will be posting the prompts here, so you all can read them, and tell me what you think. But I won’t post this one until I’ve sent the e-mail.

Also…*chuckles* The other day, I bought a game I’ve been wanting for a long time: Pokemon Moon! I’ve been looking forward to this game, and I haven’t been able to afford it until now! For the time being, it’s my stress relief, but in case I find myself getting to pressed or stressed. I also bought a copy of Skyrim, but the game console’s not hooked up yet, so it’s gonna be a while before I can play that.

Anyways, I hope everyone stays warm out there: this Arctic Blast isn’t doing me any favors, that’s for sure.

Of Power Failures and Gray Days

Hey all. Gloomy Moonday, huh? This is gonna be a short post, mostly because I don’t have much to talk about today, though I do need to bring up a factor or two that might prevent me from posting all too much this upcoming December.

It was gray and gloomy up here in Michigan. Just got back from a round-trip cab ride to deposit bill money in the bank, and it was cold and rainy. We (my cab driver and I) almost got into an accident, but the rest of the trip went smoothly.

Still not sleeping well. The only way I can get any real sleep is if I take a nap, and even then I’m not sleeping well, and my naps are becoming longer. To be honest, last night was the best I slept nearly all month…compared to the night before, where I had nightmare after nightmare, and woke up nearly screaming at some point. I think it’s stress, but still, I’m not liking it.

Make matters worse, we have no power in one side of the office/guest room my husband and I hang out most days…meaning we can’t use the heater we have.

Anyways, in terms of Keepers of Balance, I’m a little over halfway done with the editing of Ep#5. There’s a Bonus Illustration I did for the Episode a long time ago that I want to redo, so I might try to relieve some stress and work on that. Sadly, I didn’t get to do what I wanted to do this month, and secure copyrights for KoB. It’s fine, though: family and housing come first.

Speaking of that, my husband and I are looking at a new place on Thursday. With any luck, we’ll secure it and start moving in within the month. Meaning our internet service will have to be moved as well. Between the sides of chaos, it may prevent me from posting consistently. I doubt it, but just in case, if I miss post days in December, then that’s why.

Anyways, not sure if I’ll have anything more interesting to talk about on Wednesday…editing KoB Episodes is a little mundane, but it’s still fun reading over the Episodes once more. Hope you all have a good Moonday/Tuesday, and happy Cyber Monday!

Okay, I really think something’s wrong…

*drags self into office after 5hrs of sleep*….ugh…*fumbles with power button*….fuuuuck…*turns on WordPress app*….das fikken….

What turned out to be a possible case of food poisoning is starting to feel like an infection of some sorts…I barelay made it through the day: I felt weak, tired, couldn’t stop shaking, kept going back and forth in between hot and cold, and I think my lymph nodes are swelling up like balloons. I don’t feel any better. If I feel like this in the morning, I might not be able to go into work…which pisses me off greatly. I can’t afford to get sick, right now.

*sighs* sorry, guys…I don’t mean to complain, but this just hit me right out of left field. Let’s just…let’s just get on with the post.

I managed to create another rough sketch of the Realm Map using a sketching program I have. It’s not the cleanest, but it might give you guys a small idea on how I want it to look:

It comes with a bonus sketch of a weird-ass cake-thing I doodled just for giggles. I forgot to mention yesterday that the Leylines, since they’re scattered throughout the Realms, would be sprinkles. Chocolate sprinkles, of course.

I wanted to have more done, but by the time I got done with this sketch, I was barely keeping my eyes open, and the world wouldn’t sit straight, anymore.

Oh, but here! Look what happened to my phone this morning!win_20161025_18_46_49_pro

You might not be able to see it very well, but I dropped my phone this morning and it cracked. I can still use it, but one more drop, and I’m stuck without a phone. And, of course, I can’t afford one right now.

Oh, something else I have coming to me soon, too. Remember the sketch layout of the EVE I posted a while back? Well, one of my friends has a program that allows him to create 3D floor plans. I’m hoping to have that soon, since it would help a lot with placement, and it’s always good to have a reliable reference nearby.

Now about tomorrow…I honestly don’t know what’s gonna happen. If I end up working tomorrow, unless I feel at least 85% better, then I might not be able to post tomorrow. If I end up not going to work tomorrow, I might end up sleeping for most of the day, meaning I won’t have anything for tomorrow’s post. So we’re gonna play a bit of a gamble, here: I might post tomorrow, I might not, but either way, I’m sorry for the break in schedule.

…I apologize too much, don’t I?

Anyways, good night…and stay healthy, everybody.
